ABOUT US

The RSFCC - based at Eindhoven Air Force Base in The Netherlands - coordinates all RS fixed-wing strategic flights into and out of Afghanistan, in accordance with the Afghanistan Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).  RSFCC is a RS unit that operates 24/7, 365 days per year and is responsible directly to Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE)  for the coordination of RS strategic airlift aircraft into and out of Afghanistan. Our mission is to assist you in enabling your aircraft to operate in support of the RS mission.

RSFCC issues all aircraft slot times, PPR approvals and transponder codes (Squawks).  RSFCC provides the Combined Air Operation Centre (CAOC) in Al Udeid in Qatar with updates every 4 hrs 24/7 of all military flights with a RS call sign.  PPRs are valid for plus or minus 30 minutes.  RSFCC wishes to be informed of any issues that may effect the smooth flow of aircraft in support of RS

CARRIAGE OF COMMERCIAL CARGO

Mixed RS and Commercial Loads (Mixed Loads).  The carriage of commercial cargo ie non RS cargo is strictly prohibited when operating on a RS (NAG) call sign.  Operators assigned a RS (NAG) call sign to meet a RS air cargo contract are to ensure no commercial freight is loaded to an aircraft arriving into Afghanistan using a RS (NAG) call sign.  Spot checks of aircraft are undertaken at RS airfields.

Shared Load RS Loads for Differing RS Contracts (Shared Load).  The sharing of an aircraft between contributing Nations for differing contracts is allowed.  Thus one Nation contracting an aircraft can share spare capacity with another RS Nation, this is termed as a Shared Load.  Only RS freight can be carried, no civilian commercial freight is to be carried. The Nation with the majority of freight onboard is to assign the RS call sign.   If in doubt operators should email Chief Ops at RSFCC and request clarification of any load PRIOR to the flight arriving in Afghanistan.
